I know I haven't written a whole lot lately, but I am going to try and be better about that. You see the thing is, I have been very busy, but not very busy at all!
My course is going well. I have just started unit 4 of 7. There is almost a light at the end of the tunnel.
I have been visiting the school where I do my student teaching everyday. Up until now, I have been going in to help out with maths class.
No, that isn't a typo, in places outside of the US they call math, maths, with an 's'. In Japan, Jannie and Bryn explained to me that it's mathematics, right? So why would you shorten it to math and lose the 's'?
I am not used to it, and am having to correct myself at school, where I call it "math class" and in my assignments, where for whatever reason I have been writing it as "maths class".
Anyways, that's getting off topic. The point is, I have been volunteering at the school for about an hour a day, Sunday through Thursday. The rest of the day I do my course work, clean a little and cook a little.
It's definitely not a demanding lifestyle!
However that all might be changing...
As I packed up to leave school on Thursday, I was offered a job!
Who says no to a job offer when you have nothing better to do with your time?
There are still details to work out, but it looks like shortly I will be a Year 6 LSA (Learning Support Assistant)! Basically, I will do the same thing I have been doing - helping out in the classroom - only full time. I'm very excited.
Gone are my days of sleeping late and lazing around the house, but if it means more money in the bank, then I am willing to sacrifice.
Despite being more busy from now on, I am going to try to take more photos and post more often...try being the operative word!
