New England Clam Chowder in a bread boulle!! I came across the little loaf of bread in a bakery on Sunday. I promptly got a can of clam chowder (too lazy to cook it from scratch...this time!) and dinner was set! It was nice, but would have been better with a sourdough bowl and nicer chowder. I've gotten delicious New England clam chowder from Soup Stock Tokyo. I had lunch at the Osaka branch, but they didn't have clam chowder that day. There wasn't really time to go all the way to Kyoto just for soup, so I dealt with the canned stuff. I'll have to stock up next time I'm in Kyoto! (Their lobster bisque is also deee-licious!) You can order it online as well, so, if you happen to be in Japan I highly recommend it!
